Rigor Mortis

Demi-couture meets gothic futurism in this sculptural collection inspired by the themes and figures of the most notable Italian Cemetery. Soft drapes and shrouds rendered in stone are represented by the folds and layers of each piece. Unidentifiable, military-like silhouettes are reminiscent of the angels and saints found in the paradoxical garden of sculptures - other-worldly but not the harbingers of a bright heaven.

Shadowy figures from a shrouded beyond, Rigor Mortis - a collection inspired by the Cemiterio Monumentale Milano. Masterful craftsmanship meets somber monumentalism, Rigor Mortis is garb for the dystopian afterlife. A collection that represents the clash between the sense of “the past” and at the same time, the upcoming future by indicating the modern man in a different and experimental direction without frames. Achromatic blacks in various shades and touches of dark brown, are enriched by a contrast focus of oxygenated blue - green. Rigor Mortis creates the feeling of mystery, not intrusive presence. The raw edges of clothes are in contrast with the faded effects of the fabric which bear a resemblance to parched soil.

Hems are missing – the neoprene is raw cut and the bottom is topstitched with chain stitch which gives a finished look to the garment. The collars that are covering the face create mystery. Layering clothing is inspired by the style #layered and thus creates the overall composition of the silhouette. Particular emphasis is placed on the aviator glasses, which are also #trend, but a hybrid version that makes the style even more exciting and innovative. The shoes radiate a rebellious spirit, which finalizes the overall look of the collection.
